Red Crowned Cranes

A wedding present for a Japanese exchange student who stayed with my family for a while when I was in high school.






Thanks to Mati and Chash for suggesting cranes for a wedding present; in Japan, red-crowned cranes represent longevity, fidelity, and luck.

I plan to make the pattern available for sale eventually, and will be looking for a volunteer to test it out.
