Octopus
My first ever amigurumi, made just before the dawn of 2009.
I didn't actually use a pattern for it, except for the head. After that, I made it up as I went along, in what turned out to be a series of front-post slip stitches and rows of chain + single stitch. An auspicious beginning to my amigurumi career, as well as the new year.
