America and England from Axis Powers: Hetalia. Made for the winner of a fandom charity auction.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with how these two turned out :)
America's glasses are hand-made, since nothing I found in stores was to the right scale. They aren't directly attached to his head either, so there can be glasses "stealing" antics if his owner is so inclined. For his cowlick, I used the same glue trick I used on Perry back in the day - though I'd forgotten between then and now both how much glue it takes, and how long waiting takes 9_9a
Their facial features took me a while :/ That is, their ears were no problem to figure out, but the proportions of their eyes had me going for a while, and I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about their noses. I kinda skipped both entirely on the only other human-ish characters I've made so far, so these were the first I made, especially at that size. They're kinda lumpy and not very anime-looking :/ Still, they get the idea across. For their eyes (and America's mouth), I eventually ended up drawing circles roughly the size of the dolls' heads on a piece of paper, and then fudging in their approximate features in pencil; I cut those out and used them for a pattern. Those features are felt with acrylic paint.

Not much to say about their back-sides that I didn't already cover discussing the front. Oh, I will say that I ended up almost completely re-doing England's hair. I originally had it parted down the middle, but that just didn't look quite right; I ended up taking everything I could out and just avoiding any idea of a part altogether :P His bangs were already glued down, which is why his eyebrows' placement may look a little funny, but I think it turned out mostly okay. He did also end up with a tiny round hole at in the top of his head ._.a Uh, no reflection on his character is meant by that; that's just how adding hair/similar works sometimes.
It was after much staring at images that I eventually decided that yes, I was going to make America slightly taller than England. I'm pretty sure I got that right, at least, though how well their actual heights translate to/from their crocheted heights I'm not entirely certain ._.a I also got very slightly different colors of yarn for their hair. I used my best judgment on that, and I think I made the right decision. ...Though in any case, it's all far too glued down now for me to take out and re-do anything, so if I'm wrong, I should at least be close enough for horseshoes. (Also I am not doing it again; my wrists need a break!)
